Schools out early for the team at Image Group after completing an exciting new make over at The Kingsway School in Cheadle.
Kingsway's head teacher Jo Lowe, asked us for ideas and proposals to help with relaunching the school brand along with some major refurbishments to the external fabric of the two main buildings Foxland Campus and Broadway Campus. After an initial survey the team at Image Group designed and presented a full reworking of the school logo along with a range of design schemes that involved re-skinning large sections of the buildings in plywood and full colour printed Dibond graphics. The works also included repainting existing concrete pillars and timber sections as well as installing large format fret cut griffin logos on the main public facing elevations. Each scheme was designed to add an interesting architectural element to the existing facades as well as screening off the older aspects of the building.
After a total of 6 weeks on site the buildings have undergone a complete transformation and are ready for The Kingsway School new term and new student intake.
Speaking on behalf of Image Group, Neil Cousins said “The biggest challenge at Kingsway School was co-ordinating a hugely ambitious project whilst the school term was in progress. Safety first for pupils, staff and our own team was the number one priority. The finished scheme is stunning and I am delighted to have had a chance to showcase our eclectic range of skills from design, manufacture right through to specialised installation and finishing. This transformation is an important step in a new chapter for The Kingsway School and we're thrilled to have played our part”
Headteacher at The Kingsway School, Mrs Jo Lowe, had this to say "From the start of the project, we felt in safe hands with The Image Group. They had a confident and professional approach to the project and listened carefully to the brief, our needs and the vision we were trying to achieve. Their team were understanding of the challenges in carrying out such a big project during the school term, but ensured that there was minimal disruption to the day to day running of the school and that students' health and safety needs were met.The quality of the finished product, matched the quality of the design and the tranformation after 6 weeks was incredible. The new image of The Kingsway School is in keeping with our new corporate identity, but also has had a positive impact on the students who learn, and staff who work in our school"
