Polycarbonate is a clear rigid sheet material manufactured in the UK. It is virtually unbreakable and complies with international quality standards certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
What are the basic qualities of Polycarbonate?
Polycarbonate is a transparent thermoplastic which was first commercially developed in the 1950’s. It is ideal for busy public areas because of it’s excellent impact strength, optical clarity and wide working temperature range.
It is a rigid material which is ideal for indoor and outdoor use. Polycarbonate is transparent.
Transparency, excellent toughness, thermal stability including fire rating and a very good dimensional stability make Polycarbonate one of the most widely used thermoplastics. Compact discs, riot shields, vandal proof glazing, baby feeding bottles, electrical components, safety helmets and headlamp lenses are all typical applications for Polycarbonate.
Printing: We are able to print full colour images directly to the front or back side of clear polycarbonate. This material offers a great solution particularly when safety or impact resistance is of vital importance as it is virtually unbreakable.
Finishing: We can cut or finish polycarbonate with regular straight edges or custom shapes at no extra cost.

Products that use Polycarbonate
All types of plastic are recyclable. To make sorting and thus recycling easier, the American Society of Plastics Industry developed a standard marking code to help consumers identify and sort the main types of plastic. Polycarbonate is classified as a category 7 plastic.
