Exhibition stands can make an enormous difference at industry events

There was quite a stir at Manchester United’s stadium Old Trafford recently when a large number of people in the vending industry attended the Vendex North exhibition.

Vendex North is one of the premier destinations for those who work in the industry to show off the latest technology, products and meet with like minds to do business with.

Most interesting to us were the thoughts of show director Phil Reynolds who said: “We had a feeling it would be a busy show when exhibition stands sold out in record time and pre-registration figures were the highest they’ve ever been.

“Over one hundred exhibition stands, some featuring established industry stalwarts, others first-timers at Vendex, housed some truly inspirational and engaging displays.”

With close to 90 exhibitors attending Vendex and with 30% new to the industry, competition was fierce to attract attention. Some competitors came from overseas, and there was also a new speaker programme in effect during the exhibition.

With so much going on, it’s fair to say that the quality, attractiveness and overall message conveyed by the exhibition stands on the day would have been a key contributor to any success that some attendees may have experienced.

Similarly for Inter airport China 2018, which has reached 85% booking capacity a full ten months before the event thanks to the record number of stand bookings seen at the recent Inter airport Europe 2017 show in Munich this October.

The air transportation event has exploded in popularity in a similar fashion to Vendex, with exhibitors clamouring for space and planning almost a full year ahead for how they wish to exhibit themselves at the event next year.

And so it goes for any and every event across numerous industries. The better businesses plan ahead and get creative with their exhibition stands, the more likely they’ll be able to target the right people with a consistent message and attract a better quality of client and lead to their stand.

Exhibition stands aren’t just there to prop up your sales team and hold leaflets. They can be so much more; open spaces that showcase the technology you wish to promote, a hospitality area to better communicate with potential clients on the day, highly-creative visual aides to enhance your communication skills and much more besides.
