Ensuring Exhibition Success

So, you have your route to the venue all planned, you took delivery of your pop up displays a month ago, all of your promotional goods and product samples are packed up and ready to go, you are ready to exhibit. More than ready, in fact. You are absolutely chomping at the bit.

However, being organised will only get you so far. To ensure your exhibition is a stand out success, you will need plenty of enthusiasm and a genuine appreciation of good, old fashioned professionalism.

Enthusiasm

Enthusiasm at an exhibition doesn't just mean having a permanent smile when potential customers come near your stand, it means getting started long before the customers are even at the venue. Make sure that you are up early on exhibition day as setting up your banner stands, laying out your promotional material and generally getting things to look nothing short of perfect takes much more time than you may think.

Professionalism

Always remember that you and your colleagues are the face of your company on exhibition day and therefore your appearance and conduct is just as important to the promotion of your product or service as your graphics and leaflets. To this end, always act professional and conduct yourself in a way that is befitting the occasion, i.e. look fresh, dress smart, be friendly, know your facts, etc. Furthermore, always make sure you are well away from the stand every time you need a snack or drink as potential customers won't be impressed by your chewing and slurping.
