On this page we're showcasing a recent Outdoor Public Event which is an innovative new outdoor photography exhibition to be seen by hundreds of thousands or people. The FETTU Exhibition (From Earth to the Universe) celebrates UNESCO's International Year of Astronomy 2009 (IYA2009).

FETTU is sponsored by The Science Photo Library and features 26 outdoor display panels measuring 3m x 80 cm. The displays show images of galaxies, planets, stars, the Milky Way and as near as the Moon and as far away as 13 billion light years. Supplied and installed complete with custom built freestanding plinths, the units have integral 150 kilo water filled weights which are sealed on site to ensure the displays stay in one place for the duration of the event.

With any Outdoor Exhibition, public safety is our number one concern. And, because of the nature of these sites, it's crucial to ensure there are no visible signs of our installation. The displays are extremely stable and robust. All components are pre-made in our factory to minimise any public disruption and to eliminate, where possible, the effect of vandalism.

Transforming ideas into truly workable and inspirational exhibitions is a great challenge. This Outdoor Exhibition has been a real success during 2009. In just five months we've installed the displays in Liverpool, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast and Halifax. FETTU is due to be installed in a further twelve sites during the rest of the year.
