Striking architecture, a sensational location and the world’s best triathletes make the Salford BG Triathlon World Cup one of the highlights of the UK’s sporting calendar.

It is estimated that the value of the race has an economic impact of £2.5m in Salford alone. That’s why we at The Image Group take the responsibilities that come with branding this prestigious event every year, very seriously indeed.

A stunning combination of full colour banners and correx sponsor boards are
installed around the course perimeter. Complementing a three dimensional
custom built finishing gantry, a giant podium winners’ backdrop and a truly
awesome 52m floating carpet that’s printed for the start line pontoon combine to give the event a truly world class feel.

Every July 200 of the world’s best male and female triathletes compete for the title of the world’s number one triathlete alongside 1,000 non professionals.

The race is a gruelling test involving a 1500m swim round Dock 9 at Salford Quays, a 40km cycle sprint from The Lowry and around Salford Quays and finishes with a 10km run. Phew!

And as if that wasn’t enough, up to 25,000 spectators clap and gasp in awe and amazement... ensuring Salford continues to be one of 16 premier world cup locations that stage the competition.
