Large Format Printing

It's so much more than just printing!

Large format printing is the technology that sits at the heart of The Image Group, and yes it's true that people provide us with files to print and we print them and deliver printed goods and everyone is happy.

However, large format printing is only part of the story, so read on to find out how we've used our last decade in the digital printing industry to develop a range of products and services that really help businesses and organisations of all shapes and sizes across the UK take their visual communications and marketing campaigns to new places.

If you're completely new to the term large format printing it's generally understood as full colour digital output at widths over 1.5m, usually to rolled materials such as paper, self-adhesive vinyl, polyester and banner PVC. However, our continued investment in new printing technology also allows us to print direct to rigid substrates too, such as display card, Foamex, aluminium and acrylics.

Super-wide or grand format digital printing is commonly used within the same context and applies to output at widths over 2.5m. Most of our print solutions are provided using materials between 1.2m and 3.2m wide, although applications such as large mesh banners and building wraps rely on 5m wide print technology.

Large Format Printing - one technology for a thousand solutions

It's become so much more than just printing for The Image Group as we've developed a business that provides ideas, flexibility, support and a host of solutions for the marketing, advertising and exhibiting objectives of a diverse mix of organisations.

Through our website, press releases, case studies, exhibition showroom and our unique 'Essential Buyers' Guide' we've worked hard to illustrate how large format printing can be used to benefit your business promotion and visual communications.

We're a technology-based business that does common sense very well, and we've long saved our customers from print and Mac jargon - preferring to put your needs and expectations first.

Before our printers are even switched on, we're on hand to provide simple advice on product selection, to share a problem or to measure up after a site survey request. Our creative team and production pre-press team are also here to add some 'fizz' to your ideas and to check everything is in order before we go to print.

Since our move to new 32,000 sqft premises in June 2007 nearly one million pounds has been invested in our print and production capability. With the addition of 1080dpi VUTEk QS2000 UV-curing digital printing kit, its bigger brother the Press-VU 320 and automated print finishing coming from our ZUND i-cut machine, our production team is ready to support your requirements with speed, care and renowned reliability.

Our in-house installation teams complete our end-to-end service proposition and confirm our belief that, whilst we have some amazing large format printing technology at the heart of our business, it's what we do from the moment we pick up the phone to the safe receipt or installation of your order that really counts.

This crucial point isn't lost on anyone in our team.

Providing great service is infectious and we're pleased to say everyone here at The Image Group has caught it! It's not a rule that we've written down somewhere but part of our value system that's been with us for a decade. Our everyday actions and the high number of organisations who we retain as happy Image Group customers also evidence the quality of our work and the honest and professional way we operate.
